Preparation for NIGHT-TIME Gigging
Prepare yourself for night time gigging in the future... must be calm winds, tides right, and clear water.... some say the fall/winter is best for doormat flounder..... I put two more lights on my portable "Flats Gigging Lights" , which are very bright. They are substitutes for exterior flood lights of more than about 80 watts of comparable light is my guess. I could gig with the original two, but I know two more is better. The draw from LEDs is small and light should last a while on double trolling batteries. The light straps over the bow and extends to a few inches from the water's surface in a somewhat protective housing.
