Catchin' Spade Fish Betsy Ross Reef, Hilton Head

Fishing on the Playin Thru 5.24.2012 : Short trip to the Betsy Ross Reef. Picked up some jelly balls on the way out and had a blast with the spade fish. Bait was hard to come by inshore, but we caught lots of cigar minnows to fish with on the bottom, and we brought out some pin fish and a blue crab. The blue crab caught a beauty of a sheepshead by Andrew, and the cigar minnows and pin fish kept loading me up with 1 spottail in the slot and many others too big! We also had 2 or 3 cobia visit us at the boat but wouldn't bite. We had a great time back at the dock with 3 manatee drinking our water as we flushed the motors!

Fishing Boca Grande Pass

Fishing Boca Grande Pass May 10, 2012. We've never seen so many tarpon rolling in the pass. At one time we could see 100 tarpon rolling. There was a shortage of crabs for bait, and all we could use was the bait we caught at Stump Pass (see other video). It was frustrating, but we really didn't give it enough time. There were probably 75 boats fishing the pass, and we saw 2 hookup. One was being filmed by 2 chase boats. Beautiful day on the water. We then ran to Cabbage Cay for lunch with the O'Briens.

Fishing for Reds and Trout and Stump Pass Beach park on the grass flats. Had a great time with PG catching Reds, trout, grouper, snook, and more!

Stump Pass Bait Fishing

Looking for bait in May 6 2012. Found it in Stump pass inlet. Perfect baits for snook, redfish, trout, and tarpon. Mixed with threadfin herring, sardines, jacks and more. Pinfish are easily found on the grass flats. More on that later.
