Edisto Reef Fishing Off-Shore

Last day of wahoo fishing tourney (fished 4.21.12). AKR, Andrew, John, Capt Curt, and I fished. Left dock at 3:15 AM. Returned to dock at 7:30 PM. Caught 8 Dolphin all about 12 to 18 lbs. Curt had one on in the 40 lb class as did Andrew, but the lines crossed and cut each other off near the boat within view, but out of reach of the gaff. Curt's beautiful dolphin would have easily won the calcutta since the largest dolphin weighed was about 25 lbs. Fished the same area as on Wednesday about 80 and 85 miles offshore at Edisto ledge area. Seas were much better than predicted! 2 or 3 wahoo bites but no landings.

Edisto Reef Off-Shore Fishing

Fishing on the "Slave Driver" 4.18.2012 (Wednesday). Left the dock at 3:30-4:00 AM, returned at 8:00 PM. Fished Edisto and beyond 90 miles due East of Hilton Head. 9 Dolphin all 18 to 25 lbs. 2ea tripples, 1 quad, missed about 5 dolphin, 2 wahoo, 1 larGE! This is a wahoo tournament, and didn't catch any today. Over 120 lbs. of good dolphin was fun. Ocean nice. Cruised back at 40+. MORE PICS COMING! Fishing the 180 ft reef for 12 miles North and South, and then went out another 11 miles to troll a weedline edge picking up nice dolphin in both locations depending on the time of day.
