The engines have arrived. Now I'm busy reading the manuals. The gauges fit nicely and I like the layout.

Every weekend since arrival of the dash panel I've put in 4 to 10 hours on the weekend rewiring at the helm. Today things are looking pretty good. I can't turn on the battery switches to check continuity yet since Buddy Darden has been making very minimal progress in the engine room with the wall panels and the converter is disconnected.

The engines were to arrive Friday or no later than Monday. I'm getting worried about their arrival, but I'm sure the'll be here on Monday as Buddy told Kevin to make sure he had them at Palmetto Bay Monday Morning as he was working on Memorial Day. I'm a bit anxious as I've paid the money and I have no engines yet.

New Dash picked up today 5/4/07.

The stainless was cut just a bit tight on the switches, but with a bit of dremel grinding, all is Good! I think it should really look nice and be quite an improvement installed with more modern sealed switches and updated electronic controls. In need the 2 tacks, 2 digital "Vessel Views", and C-Cruise engine switches which will all come with the engines later this month. I'll go ahead and start installing the existing electrical to the switches, maybe on Sunday and be waiting for the rest.

I completed my redraw of the console and then met with a great company in Savannah Georgia, Precision Cutting Service, who uses 3 water jet, digitally controlled machines to make cutouts of any sort, up to steel at 2" I believe they said. This project is not so complex, but with the drawings I gave them this week, they were able to draw it up in a flash and it appears to be very accurate. They will make the dash from 3/16" brushed stainless steel. Attached is the Autocad drawings.
