My Time Sport Fishing

One of my best days EVER inshore fishing (really THE best).  Started fishing about 8:15 and by 9:30 I had caught 7 big bull reds, 2 other red keepers in the slot, and several break-offs where the reds ran into the marsh and the oyster shells.  WHAT a MORNING! All on light tackle. After I left this spot, I went to a trout hole and caught 7 nice trout.  I've also never seen so much bait anywhere I have ever fished.  They were mostly finger mullet, but when you threw the bait out there, the water would explode with the multitude of mullet.  Caught the reds on live mullet, and the trout on artificials.

Next trip Sunday 10.7.12:  Fishing not as hot, but still caught 3 nice reds and interesting enough, I spotted my two breakoffs from Saturday (above).  The two floats were in an adjacent cove and I managed to hookup on one of the floats, only to have the very large red surface, roll, and break me off again on 20 lb leader.  The other float cruised too far into the thick marsh grass.  No luck with that one.
