My Time Sport Fishing

Trey and I, after 2 years of thinking about how to build in an integrated computer which receives GPS, radar, sonar, wireless internet, and other information, along with integrated Google Earth KML images, finally decided to begin the project. I've had a laptop doing some of these on-board services mounted in the cabinet before, but it tended to overheat and was not always a stable reliable platform. Since it was a rainy week and what the heck, it sounds like a great father son project, I worked on a new plexy panel to replace the original cabinet door and installed a power supply support. We collaborated on the rest of the install and worked really hard on it for a day and a half with the hardware install. After many install issues and power routing issues, we cranked it up at several phases to find the systems operating normally. Now for the software; After loading Vista, and then XP the system began recycling every 3 to 5 seconds. We removed each part, all the way back to the mother board, one at a time to finally discover it was indeed a mother board issue. We're returning the board, and ordering a different one as it appears that this particular board has sometimes exhibited this problem. Ben and Trey did a great job researching all the hardware and shopping for the lowest price. They are really experts and extremely knowledgeable. Great job, and looking forward to my replacement part to restart the final install.
